New this year, Taiwan has been added as a key target market for conducting USDEC ingredient marketing programs with a focus on elevating health and wellness centric innovation opportunities with U.S. whey and milk proteins. A kick-off U.S. Dairy Protein Health and Wellness Seminar will be held May 2 in Taipei, inviting a mixed audience of food and beverage importers, manufacturers and health and nutrition experts to share the science-backed benefits of whey and milk proteins for a healthy and active lifestyle. Nutrition expert and registered dietitian Leslie Bonci and other food and nutrition experts will highlight why protein is critically important in the daily diet across life stages, why protein quantity, quality and intake timing matter to optimize consumption, and extended ways to enjoy dairy protein-inclusive foods beyond the typical smoothie or protein bar. The seminar will also introduce the U.S. Dairy Export Council as a resource to customers and influencers in Taiwan while also reinforcing why the United States is a strong and ideal supply partner to support Taiwan's current and future dairy protein import needs.
