2024 International Cheese and Dairy Awards
Stafford, EnglandThe International Cheese and Dairy Awards are a world-renowned dairy competition that takes place each year in the United Kingdom. This year it will be taking place June 27, 2024, in Stafford, England.
As USDEC has done with other international cheese competitions, we would like to encourage participation in the event by offering to cover the entry costs for all U.S. cow’s milk (including mixed milk) cheeses. No export capabilities are required to participate.
Registration closes in May, but we encourage you to register early as we may run out of sponsorship spots, depending on demand.

Tec de Monterrey Sustainability Seminar
Monterrey, MexicoAs part of the USDEC-Tec de Monterrey partnership, USDEC will present at a sustainability seminar being hosted on May 15, 2024 at the Tec de Monterrey campus in Monterrey, Mexico. Seminar attendees will include Tec de Monterrey students, academic staff and alumni as well as local food industry representatives. USDEC will speak on sustainability advances being made by the U.S. dairy industry.

Nutrition Dialogue Meeting
SingaporeOn June 14, USDEC will be hosting key opinion leaders (KOLs) from across Southeast Asia at the U.S. Center for Dairy Excellence (U.S. CDE) for a nutrition dialogue meeting to discuss the importance of protein quality, quantity, and distribution. University professors, nutritionists, dietitians, and fitness experts will come together for an intimate and interactive session exemplifying how these factors play an essential role in optimizing protein intake to fuel varying life stages and active lifestyles.

USDEC-FAS China Dairy Trade and Fact-Finding Mission
Beijing & Shanghai, ChinaUSDEC is offering four technical training workshops on February 28 and March 1 (two each day) to Mexican bakery manufacturers. Via classroom and hands-on training sessions, the workshops educate bakers on why and how to formulate with U.S. dairy ingredients to improve process efficiency and add functionality and nutrition to their products. While USDEC training workshops in Mexico have typically been geared toward small to medium-sized manufacturers, this series is offered to larger (Class A) bakeries and is conducted in conjunction with the Mexican bakery association CANAINPA at their Mexico City training center.

Bakery Innovation with U.S. Dairy Ingredients Hands-on Workshop
SingaporeThe first of USDEC's innovation workshops at the U.S. Center for Dairy Excellence (U.S. CDE) in 2024 kicks off March 27-28. Food and bakery formulators from the region, but with an emphasis on Malaysia and Thailand, will be invited for classroom education and interactive training elements focused on creating Southeast Asia-friendly bakery applications with U.S. dairy proteins, permeate, and milk powder.

Dairy Innovation and Outlook Webinar
China (virtual)USDEC is organizing a Dairy Innovation and Outlook Webinar Series which will feature two, one-hour, sessions. The first session (Dec. 7) will feature the 2023 innovation work conducted by the team at Jiangnan University plus winning products from the 5th Annual Student Innovation Competition organized under the USDEC-JU partnership. The second session (Dec.19) will feature Donna Berry, Owner of Dairy & Food Communications, to share real commercial examples of dairy-protein-fortified foods across multiple mainstream product categories; and, William Loux, vice president, Global Economic Affairs, U.S. Dairy Export Council to discuss what lies ahead for global dairy markets in 2024 and the production outlook for U.S. dairy ingredients.
