Privacy Statement

The U.S. Dairy Export Council takes your privacy seriously. All information gathered herein is used solely for the purpose of administering this application (user login credentials, selecting favorites, and any notification you opt-in for).

Information gathered through this application will never be marketed nor sold, and will never be used for purposes other than those explicitly stated.

If you create a username and password for this application, the only personal data we will capture is your e-mail address. This is done so you can retrieve your password should you forget it. We will never gather more than what is needed to provide services for this application. It is your right to request this information or to be removed from our records at any time. If you have any questions or requests regarding your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer, Dan Ingram, at dingram@usdec.org.

By using this application, you consent to the terms outlined above.

 

User Accounts

Creation of a user account is entirely optional. Its only current purpose is to allow users to synchronize their favorite content (such as favorite recipes) between multiple devices. All other app features can be used freely without an account.

User account creation

App functionality

·      In-app recipes marked as “favorites”

Technical analytics

·      Firebase installation ID

o   Used for crash reporting

 

User Data Retention

User account credentials and favorites data are not automatically deleted after any period of inactivity.

 

Requesting User Data Deletion

Within the app

Users can delete their account directly through the app by doing the following:

1.        Log in with the account that the user wishes to delete, if not logged in already.

2.        Open the Settings panel from the Home tab by tapping the gear icon in the upper right.

3.        Scroll down to the bottom and tap the “Delete My Account” button.

Outside of the app

User data deletion can also be requested at any time by contacting USDEC’s Data Protection Officer, Dan Ingram, at dingram@usdec.org.
